Finger Puppets

Let the kids make finger puppets from paper. Draw a person or animal face, cut it out, and glue it to a popsicle stick. Or grab an old sock and draw the face on it, or glue on eyes and felt shapes.

Next, stack a few boxes and secure with packing tape, leave an opening at the front of the top box, and hang up a curtain, towel or blanket.

Then, help the children create a “show” with a script and characters. Have the kids practice until they feel really confident. Invite a few friends or family members over to watch the “show”.

You kids will love this, and will love it even more if you are
able to incorporate the audience into the show.

All the laughter and applause will make them want to create more
shows for the future!

Who knows, they might even get into making more elaborate puppets ;)
